Default 1994 (95' ENGINE) honda accord lx HEATER PROBLEM.

I ALSO HAVE BEEN HAVING A HEATER PROBLEM WITH MY 1994 (1995 ENGINE) HONDA ACCORD LX. SOMETIMES IT WARMS UP A LITTLE WHEN IT WANTS TO AND FOR THE MOST PART IT JUST BLOWS OUT COLD AIR. ESPECIALLY ON THE FREEWAY. AND THAT HAPPENS EVEN WHEN I HAVE IT ON MAX HEAT. SO I DONT KNOW WHATS GOIN ON WITH THAT. I JUST INSTALLED A NEW RADIATOR AND A NEW WATER PUMP JUST SO YOU GUYS KNOW. WELL IF SOMEBODY CAN HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM I WOULD GREATLY APRECIATE IT THANX.

Have you checked the heater core? Does this get warm? Check the heater hose lines that go from the engine to the firewall. Check and see if these are warm. Also, Make sure no one looped them back into the motor. Can you hear the heater fan motor blow air. It sounds like thats working since you say it blows cold air. My guess will be the heater core. Might be clogged.

Well you said you get some warmth once in a while so it's probably plumbed in. Is your engine temp gauge going up to NOT (normal operating temp)? If not, you may have a faulty thermostat.

you see thats another thing i forgot to tell you guys my temp gauge on the dash never goes up it's always on cold. and i dont think its supposed to be like that. but also i didnt tell you guys that my mechanic was workin on gettin my fans to work but he said only one of them worked and he said that he had to connect it direct to the battery because he said that the modules probably faulty. so now whenever i turn on the car the fan turns on to. but could this be the reason the temp gauge stays on cold?

Even with the fans running all the time, the thermostat should heat the engine up. Your thermostat is not working correctly. Replace it and you should be good to go. I would try to get the fans kicking on correctly though.. that would be annoying IMO.

Edit: I would get right on that. Not only are you cold, but your poor engine is running around cold all the time too. It dislikes it just as much as you.

just to clarify, your thermostat is not popping so the temp SAYS its cold. however, your motor is actually running very hot. this is not just my opinion either, thats fact. even if its -20 your motor can still overheat. you have no circulation through the motor. one way to tell this is remove radiator cap and crank it. now watch for a few mins and if it never starts flowing(and youll know when it does) your thermo is bad. this is not a bid deal to fix, however it will cause catastrophic failure if you keep using it as a DD. this will also cause your heat problem because the fluid is not getting to the heater core so no heat is being transfered from the motor to your core to you. fix this and you will get hot air. once again as a fair warning if the fluid is not flowing, you might be looking for a new motor, because despite what that guage says that motor is hot! run the test above and repost.
