Black Alcantara ® Red Stitch Interior Help Please
I want to redo the door panels in my EK 4 Door. I went searching for what I wanted to do and found that someone in the Phillipines has done it. The only problem is I can't find a way to contact him to get more info.
Here is what I need. I have same exact interior as this car. DC2 Recaros in front and DB8's in rear. I need to find the door inserts. Since they didn't make them from the factory, I'm guessing this person bought a kit from someone or had them custom made. Their Black Alcantara with Red Stitch, which is the same material as the seats.
Anybody have any ideas to get this done?j

I just searched online for automotive upholstery fabric and ordered some black tweed and did them myself at home in like an hour. Its pretty simple just getting the same material is the tough part. What seats are you trying to replicate and the color?
Sorry reading owns me lol
I belive the alcantra is the material you should use but its pretty pricey or you can use micro suede.I think the dc2's also have tweed so you might be able to get away with either just search for the material and recover them.If you are looking to get the red stitch on them too then the only ones I have seen with the stitching too would be proffesionally done.I cant see one of the premade kits working since you would have to stretch the meterial down to make it fit right and then the stitching wouldnt be straight?

Cost is not an issue, I would prefer Alcantara - but finding it would be a little difficult.
The Black Tweed material from the center of the DC2 seats is also an option I'm not against. Anyone know where you can pick some up? I could wrap myself If I just use that instead.

The suede you can get from here...

But, the red stitching would be hard. Maybe you can bring it to an upholstery shop to stitch it
I got my red tweed from them. Great service and products.

Just search for automotive upholstery fabris and few places come up with different types of fabric.I have pics of the door panels and armrest done in my car but I cant send them to you till I get home and I also have the website where I got the material from. The same place also offers the alcantra and the other two materials.I also know someone that can get the material from recaro too but its gonna run a few bucks if you want any of the info just pm me and I will get back to you later.
Thanks guys. I might just run the black alcantara or black micro tweed without stitching. Now that I think of it, the stitch might look "over the top" on the doors anyways.
This is looking good to me: http://www.yourautotrim.com/unisuedeblack.html
