Default Hitting Fuel Cut at 6,200 rpm???

i just got my teg back from getting tuned at 9 psi. in 2nd gear when i step on it, it cuts....like drops to idle. i have hondata s300 tuned conservative w/ 525cc injectors, walbro 255lph, aem fpr, stock ignition w/ 2 day old plugs. i think its because im boost spiking a few pounds and the hondata registers and throws me in safety mode. what do i need to do to get out of safety mode and quit hitting fuel cut, if thats what the problem is.

is also december and cooler out that it was when i got tuned.

please help -chris-

...call the tuner and tell him what's happening? What the hell are we supposed to do about it from here? Something is going wrong, and if you can't figure it out on your own, you should take it back to the guy you paid to make it run properly.

if you go over what the stock honda map sensor reads 10.94 psi it will cut your fuel. i was running 10 pounds on my car with stock map on aem and at times with boost spike/creap it was doing the same. datalog your boost when it cuts, and see when it cuts.

i have a garrett turbo, had the shop order it for me #4661595008. cant find specs on the internet for it. i have a b18b bored 20 over, srp 8.5:1, stock head, blox manifold, turbonetics mark II wastegate, no boost controller (running off spring only), gm 3-bar.......so i can boost as high as i want, hondata s300.....

....as i said, i think the spring is weak and boost creeping, especially since its cool out, and the hondata is reading too much boost for the fuel so it hits fuel cut.

im working on acquiring a tial wastegate so ill let you know.

im not a tuning expert, so i dont want to plug my computer in and expletive things up

Your tuner probably set the hondata to cut the motor when it sees 10 psi of boost. All you have to do is go under parameters then go to boost cut and change it a little higher to like 12psi. You should be fine spiking at 12pds but if you feel uneasy about it take it to the tuner and let him know. That manifold might have something to do with it also. What psi is your wg spring at? cause its probably not 9 psi more like 5 or 8.

i tried not to cut any corners while doing this build. however, i found a great deal on a used turbonetics mark II deltagate from a guy who didnt know what pound the spring was.

so if i buy a tial, can i bolt it up and not worry about my tune?

Im sure the wg is fine if your holding under 10psi for the most part. I sent you a pm answer it and we can talk faster. R you sure you got a real deal turbonetics and not some cheap ebay crap. Im pretty sure the turbonectics have obvious red markings on them.

The setup sounds pretty stout...i'd get in touch with your tuner and have him check over everything...for free of course

But the question was, where is your WG getting its boost reference from.

yeah, im actually a senior at methodist university. let me know the next time u get to the ville and so i can show you my problem.

what ive come to learn that it only hits the boost cut when the motor is not 100% warmed up. like even if its been running for an hour and im cruising down the highway, it cools down really quick and the temp needle points to cool....ill hit boost cut until the needle is in the middle.
