Default installing fmic with out cutting the bumper questions

well i got a ebay intercooler 27 wide 12 high 3 thick. its for an EG. i wanna keep it somewhat sleeper and mount it without cutting up the bumper. any ideas?

take off bumper support? (still want the car safe)
cut bumper support(safety?)
possibly cut just the back of grill (will it look ok?)

TIA guys

they sell smaller ones for that reason.. like 6 x 27 x 3 ... that one u got is big.. u have to remove bumper support.. in a crash that support aint gonna help.. its only meant for low speed impact very low speed.

you can still cut and make the bumper still look stock.... this is the precision and is 3in thick also... it took a lot of hacking and fitting but i made it fit...
you will either have to cut or take off the bumper support though since its 12inches high

Hand-saw, dremel, cutoff wheel, small reciprocating saw, sawzall. All better options than a knife.

how about a cutting wheel makes it really easy, and clean.

i honestly dont think you can keep your bumper support, you wont be able to have it high enough with it and it will either A stick out the bottom or B hit the ground over dips and such.

i have an apexi GT thats 11" tall and it barely fit behind the support, but i still removed the support, perhaps you grind the back of the support down, or cut it out, but then you have a big beam in front of your IC.

Dremel with cut-off wheel or a sawzall.

Garrett 24"x8"x3.5"

Belt sander is the best way to go, takes it down pretty quick and even, just keep going back and forth...take a little off at a time. Mount the intercooler eyeball what you need to take off, sand, set bumper in place, repeat.

The intercooler you have is a little tall...bumper support will most likely have to go...and to use the entire intercooler you will have to cut up near the license plate bolts

All you should really have to do is center the intercooler left/right, then adjust up/down to try to line up the chargepipes so the fit just between the bottom of the side 'grilles' and the bottom of the bumper. Im using 2.5" chargepipes.

Make sure your charge pipes are installed w/clamps, if your using T-bolt clamps you may have to rotate them in a way that when the bumper is pushed back on its not catching.
