Default h22 swap problems

Whats good?

I got a 1995 Accord. I had a JDM h22 swapped into it like a year and a half ago. The problems started to add up a few months ago when I was due for CT emissions. I knew the guy had screwed me over on the swap about a year after he did it. It was a hack job and he messed up a bunch of things. So now I fail emissions cuz the motor is all hooked up right. I got a brand new exhaust and it helped bring the numbers down but I still failed the second time. The shop that did my exhaust said the wiring harness wasn't all attached right but it was too big (and too expensive) for them to do at that point in time. My question to you guys is, does anyone know of a good shop that has experience with Honda motor swaps... specifically h22's in my year accord. I want someone who knows what their doing to look at it and tell me what I need done. I know its gonna cost me a hell of a lot of money but I just want a nice clean running motor that passes emissions tests. So if anyone knows a good shop in CT, southern Mass., NJ, or NY please let me know.

Thanks.

well if you also have wiring issues have RYWIRE rebuild your harness, send it to them and as long as you have all of the right connections, there shouldn't be any problems, 3-5 day turnaround and they do excellent work!

thats the problem, i'm not sure which harness he used. the idiot left a bunch of the things unplugged... I assumed it was the harness for the f22 and the unplugged connectors were for the automatic tranny and other things for the f22 that didnt connect to the h22. Wish there was a place that made the harness without requiring me to send mine in... but i havent found one.

hey CR-V-Tech,
If i buy a new USDM harness and send it to rywire, does it have to be from my year?(95) or will any 90-97 harness work. On the Rywire site it seems to say that they can take any 90-97 and modify it for any 90-97 swap... but its not definitive.

And Thanhtruong, the emissions tests in CT arent as strict as cali. I actually didnt fail that bad with my new exhaust. I know once the engine is tuned and running right it'll pass.

it'll cost you $250 maybe less and they will build it to your spec, just tell them what car, motor, distributor as well as the ecu and they will hook you up! let me know before sunday night cause i'm flying out of kansas city at 7am monday morning! most obd1 and obd2 plugs interchange, with the exception of dizzy, injectors and the main ecu plugs, secondly the part that lays over the valve cover and looks pretty is on my harness too! just let me know, thanks
