You should really described the symtoms besides just the code.

Here are some questions for you:

1. When you start the car, can you hear the ABS pump/modulator buzzing for more than 45 seconds?

2. If you do hear the pump running, did the ABS light came on after it stopped buzzing?

3. Did the engine light come on also?

um..guess I dont pay enough attention to the pump noise. The light comes on after you are going and hit the brakes. And I dont get an engine light

there isn't a 1-1 code if the year and model are correct. and im assuming you know how to pull the ABS codes correct? or are you getting this code from one of the uber certified master techs at your local autozone? lets hope not. so if you need help with retrieving the code just ask, if not and your sure you know exactly what connector to short out under the passengers side dash then we can go straight to diaging the code. but 1-1 is not a code for that year and make. now im also assuming that you checked the brake fluid level in the ABS unit reservoir before posting a question about your wifes car right?

I jumped the blue connector under the dash. With the codes that I found from this site that is what I thought it was, It just did three blinks, but they had some room between them and then it stopped. Fluid is fine. This started happening after the car sat for about a month or so.

thanks

ok so its either a code 1-2 or a code 2-1 depending on the time in between blinks, so if we have a code 1-2 then its a pump motor circuit problem or we have a parking brake switch problem. so heres code 1-2 with all 3 flow charts:
page # 1

page #2

page #3

and if we have code 2-1 (which is most likely the problem)

if these dont get ya up and running then just let us know and we'll go from there.
