Default 4 lug disk breaks

I know that you may say this has bin covered. but here is the thing. i got the ep3 e brake cables but all of the thresds say they should be to short. mine are to long by like 4 inches. any ideas of what i could do.

they will still work, i've had both rsx and civic si ebrake cables...

you just have to keep messing with it, it'll fit eventually. taking the ebrake handle assembly off helps too. also put the lines in first before putting the 10mm brackets back in.

I used the EP3 cables and they worked fine *shrugs shoulders*

did you install all the brackets? what do you mean the cables are too long? first time ive heard or that happening.

i know me 2. i have them hooked to the e brake handle already, but then when i go to put them on the brakes in the rear its allready fully retracted and are too long by liek 4 inches. liek its overshooting the hook up area. and yes all brakets are in place

I use ep3 cables, fit perfect, not to be an ***, but are you sure you ran them right?

yes i ran them right and they are to long i don't get it. ima try something Thursday night that may work. and you cant use drum brake cables u cant attach them

Do you know for an absolute fact that the cable is from an EP3? Maybe you were given an incorrect part.
