You won't feel vtec engage on the accord, it's not nearly as noticeable as it is on a B or H series.

Maybe the vtec solenoid screen got clogged due to the neglect of timing on the oil change?

its not limiting it at 5500, its an analog gauge, so it has to spool up to the actual rev limit, but since its bouncing off the rev limitier it cant get there before the limiter slows the r.p.m. down, so it shows it at 5500 but its actually at 6750, if you have access to a scanner with real time data stream like the snap on scanner or a matco scanner, you'll see what im talking about, since the data stream is a digital input and not analog like the dash guage. as far as the solenoid kicking in for the v-tec, it doesn't open until 3500 r.p.m.s under 75% or more load. you'll see that too with the scanner, i never realized that you could actually accelerate without switching into v-tec until i did a test drive with a customers car and the had the scanner running. so if you want to go fast its full throttle or nothing at all

is it an auto? cause if you're just revving it in park, it won't let you get into vtec just sitting there. it will bounce off the vtec threshold. i have a 98 2.3 vtec 5 speed and i usually don't hear vtec kick in until around 5500, so that may have something to do with it.

Its a 5 speed and you can go down th road and floor it and it will sit thr and bounce off the limter at 5500.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by TouringAccord &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
