General Question That Has Been Bugging Me..
What is the difference between D4,3,2,1 .. Ok which one is suitable for driving in snow, Hills , etc.. how does it work.. Unfortunately I don't have my manual for my car so I can't refer to it.
1 - limits the car to topping out at 1st gear only
2 - limits the car to topping out in 2nd gear (so 1>2)
3 - limits the car to topping out in 3rd gear (1>2>3)
D4 - all 4 gears (normal driving)
3 for towing/bad conditions
2 for snow/mild ice
1 for heavy snow/ice
2 - limits the car to topping out in 2nd gear (so 1>2)
3 - limits the car to topping out in 3rd gear (1>2>3)
D4 - all 4 gears (normal driving)
3 for towing/bad conditions
2 for snow/mild ice
1 for heavy snow/ice

No offense but to say that 1 and 2 are for snow and Ice is WAY to broad of a suggestion. I don't suggest using 1 in snow or ice in the slightest! high revvs and excessive engine braking is the last thing a winter driver needs when conditions are icy. Should a person drive in the snow at 45 mph in 1st?? hell no

You should not be going 45 in heavy snow/ice haha
That's the point of it. You're going <20 mph hence why I said HEAVY SNOW/ICE. Blizzard conditions son, blizzard.
2nd for mild snow/ice.
IE it's snowing and the road is icy, but you still have visibility and what not
