I just bought an 03 Accord v6, and the backlight on the climate control display and controls stopped working the first night that I had the car (last night) ...I was just wondering if this is a common problem with an easy fix, if not I'm going to go back to the dealer and see if they will take care of it.

If you are talking about the radio/AC display screen there was a warranty extension on it (7 years/100k miles).

Do you have more information about it?

 

it's a known issue, unless the car has a salvage title on it, Honda will replace the unit free of charge.

it's a defect in the circuitboard causing the failure
