Default Bump stop

Im dropping my 97 ex on s tech's for now until i can afford koni's. I don't really know how much to cut off of the bump stop when i put them on. And I searched for a diy but nothing seemed really good on here. Is there another site with a diy on?

I think rule of thumb is about half? Just use the beefier part.
