this just came to my mind , who has the most mileage on their R.
and how long will our R live in good shape 5years ? is the engine will still be good ? what 's the mileage of our engine can last before it breaks down ?

In 5 years I will have ~125,000 miles on my ITR if I keep the same yearly driving average.
I don't plan on replacing it till many more miles after that.
Will
-who last car had ~315,000 miles on it when he sold it.

Man, come on.. What kind of question is that. I guess i can understand a question like, how many miles are on your R... But the other ones are ridiculous.
It will last as long as you take care of it.
And as for how hard is it gonna be to get one.. will, not very hard, but they are expensive.... all you will ever need to do is maybe new pistons and rings and bearings... everything else should hold up for quite some time.

You figure our engines dont rev that much higher than a gsr or prelude, but our engines are overengineered with special low friction cylinder walls, lightweight internals, special rods, special oil paths, etc, etc, etc.
I would say a average ITR that is only tracked a few times a year should be able to make it to 200,000 before needing new rings.

200,000 and then Spoon or Jun Engine! Look at all the classic cars (T-bird, corvette, charger), they have been around for years. I plan on doing the same with the R when she's older. (And still take her to the track)!
so long as you replace the valve guides.. id say forever. We have a honda lawn mower my mom bought back in 1979... We just got a new one this year in 2002!!!
And we dont have a small lawn either... The North East guys can verify this if they came to the BBQ

I think the motor in our R's will definitely outlast the car itself, especially with the rate that R's are dying from accidents and thefts. Motor not holding up should be the last thing on your minds...
