I know it is a stretch, but just checking to see if anyone here might have been getting video of the ProAm class from back in the Fall of 2004, elminations or qualifying. IIRC, Insane Jeff, Ritchie Gibson and Bleep were running that day, so maybe there was something getting documented.

We had two Volkswagens in ProAm running mid/high 12's. Here is a pic from that event, and the actual cars I am looking for. Thank you.

I remember that race.. i ran my best et and mph at that race.. Blew my tranny racing brian in the semi's too

Pretty sure you were out of the game when this race happened. The race you ran you personal best (I ran mine too) was in 2003.

 

yes u are right, i just looked at the website, and the race they have was the 03 maple grove... oops!

 

I won that race over Insane Jeff. Jeff raced Saul in the semis and I raced Bleep in the semis. That race was on Sat. and Sun. we made the treck over to Atco for BOTI. Saul won on sunday running the first 10 sec pass in Pro Am AM

Yeah, both of us VW's went out 1st round obviously.
I popped a pressure plate at some point that day, not sure if it was during qualifying or eliminations.

I was just digging around recently and I realized my best ET on video to date with my old car is only a 13.13 from one of Capital's Import Shootout's.
I have time slips that show 12.8-12.9's from that day, could have been from an open session run getting the car sorted out as the qualifying order had/has me listed with a 13.0...

So, I figured if anyone might have footage it would be some of you guys. Just looking for something of when the car was in it's own prime. Thanks.

I don't know, some of the guys I used to keep in touch with from up around Union, NJ and Etown I never talk to or see anymore, they all ran with him.

I just found some results on Maple Grove's website, either I broke it in qualifying and was a no show for round 1, or did it in at the line and didn't make the run.... either way, no time posted for me round 1 and looks as the other lane ran an easy 18 sec at 70mph.
