f23 accord on h22 engine?
i was just wondering if the intercooler piping and turbo from a f23 will work on a h22? i have the f23 in my 99 accord now but i wanna get an h22 but i dont know if the turbo set up will work with the new motor or will i have to get another one? anything will help. thanks
like Andryzzle said you'll need a new manifold but that's about it. as long as the manifolds are about the same shape and everything it should pretty much work with little to no mods. nothing some simple tools wont fix...
thanks a lot guys. this really helped. i think im gonna get the turbo for the f23 and run that till the engine blows and then get the h22 because my engine has 135,xxx on it already so im guessing its gonna go pretty soon. Also has anybody used the turbo kits off of ebay? are they any good?
whoah now, lets slow down for a second.
and i'm saying this just assuming you didn't know, not in any way trying to be condescending, because my friend did the exact same thing you did about 3 years ago (back when we were first getting into hondas)
you're really going to need to get that h22 sleeved. i would go ahead and buy the h22 and have it ready to go before boosting the f23 so you won't be without a dd for too long.
and turbo kits off ebay are a cointoss. i've seen one kit with a toy for a wastegate blow up a f22 and i've seen one put a d16 non-vtec sohc crx in the 13's. personally, i wouldn't mess with an ebay kit. do a search and see what kind of junkyard turbos people are using.

ok thanks. first off this car isnt my daily driver so i dont mind being without it for a while. my plan for the h22 is to completely build it up before i put it in the car. the plan for turbo kit is to just buy the turbo kit off ebay and switch out the BOV and the wastegate with HKS SSQV and use that kit till my engine blows and then start doin the swap.
oh and one more thing, i just read somewhere on here that you need to make sure its acutally held together nicely, cause someone apparetnly bought one that fell apart because it was glued together.

ok yeah im def gonna look into getting a decent turbo...probably turbonetics or garrett and then get an ebay FMIC and piping. one thing that im kinda confused about is how to hook up the automatic boost controller and the oil lines...for some reason i just cant figured it out...plus im kinda dumb..lol thanks
