Default Question on dc race header for 02 type s

I read that the Dc ceramic race header eliminates the cat, so will my cabin smell? will i be running rich? What will that do for my emmissions test.

It replaces it with a "high flow" cat/test pipe. No, your cabin won't smell.

LOL, do not go to your emissions test w/o a cat. I heard the fine is like $10k

10k? I haven't heard that...they will fail you, but I don't know about a fine. I guess everywhere's differnet though. We don't have emissions here yet, but if you have a test pipe, as long as you have a hole and an o2 sensor in there, you're good to go.

not always, and you'll run lean as opposed to rich.

So if you have a RH on your car in cali, you won't ever pass inspection? I heard emissions is rough out there.

It eliminates the cat completing. It doesn't "replace it with a high flow cat". Mugen is the only company that makes a RH with a cat, and it's costy, 2k.

That first link looks like our stock header, but with no cat. Waste of money

The second link looks pretty good though, the design is similar to Toda and BC.

I think for the plrice they sell their parts for, they make good products. I have no problem purchasing their parts.

Yeah, nobody ever gets the fine (I heard a shop around here got one). Someone told me it could be up to $20k, direct from the EPA.
