In the end, the owner of the Si will have more power potential and a lower insurance rate. You do the math.

Stupid enough to not use wheel locks
Too many threads about this at a dealership.
On a different note, i actually saw one on the road yesterday. Man, that rear diffuser looks awesome. But i want to meet the guy who paid for it

I'd say the power potential of both powerplants is about the same. The insurance will depend on if the ins. company knows if it's a Mugen or not.
Unfortunately the insurance will probably be cheaper as I don't think they've differentiated the VINs in any way. That's too bad for all the Si owners. We all know these are going to be stolen and stripped for parts almost as bad as the ITR are now.
I don't really care anyhow. I'm over 25, and would gladly pay the difference to have the correct wheels transferring the power to the ground.

My dealership got our Mugen Si today also.
I didnt look twice at it until they put it up in the air.
The full stainless (almost mirror finish cat-back) exhaust, will flawless welds had me drooling, I must admit.
The mugen suspension and spotless underside impressed me too.
I like it alot better after standing under it for 15min.

we got one in too. the sad part is the only people interested in it are 40-50 somethings who don't/won't appreciate it and will just drive it all year round in the snow/salt. the parts dept. already ordered winter tires for it for whoever buys it. they only put wheels locks on it because i recommended it. the salesmen where i work are so stupid, they have no clue. at least they finally put it on the show floor, sat outside for about a week...

Yes. I think it would have looked real sexy if it came in NHBP or CW.
