idle problem
I've searched around these forums for a bit yet still haven't found the right answers.
My problem begins with the start up of my 94 honda civic ex. When I start the car up in the morning time it will start with no problem, it will sit and idle at 500. When I take off for work the rpms will then bounce around between 500-1000 and won't stop till the car warms up to running temp. I figured I would be able to handle that for the rest of the week till I could get the car into the garage and take it apart. As the week went on it then got worse, to the point that it would then stall whenever I came to a stop. It just won't hold idle anymore. When I try to start it back up after it stalls it takes several tries before it can mantain 500.
I've tried this so far.
1. removed and cleaned the IAC
2. checked all vacuum lines; spark plugs; fuel lines; tps
3. flushed coolant
4. change fuel filter
I'm throwing shots in the dark here. Any advice?

Well, 500rpm idle sounds low to start with, i think 750 is ideal. Sound like idle adjustment screw might have backed out, my friend had a problem a lot like this on his teg, and that was the problem. If you tried z6boy's suggestions which are good, then its probably either vacuum leak, fitv, or iacv (there are plenty how-to's on these). Hope that help.
