I have been manually shifting it and its getting old aswell as it not having any reverse, it just makes a grinding noise when in reverse but wont move. The car sat in a field for two years, and it has a few random electrical problems, so I am thinking its electrical..ANY INFO HELPS THANKS

You don't need a scan tool.
Jumper the BLUE 2 pin connector that is located above the passenger side kick panel, turn on the key and count the 'S' lite flashes

If the car is making a grinding noise in reverse, it usually means the reverse selector gear and shift fork are damaged. This is a typical Honda issue. Chances are, the ferrous contamination from the damaged splines has made its way into your strainer, and possibly a shift valve.

The transmission needs to be replaced.
