so about a month ago i bought a 96 hatch with a 98 dx motor with 80k on it. the car looked like a transformer with buddy club kit, wide body, some subaru looking hood scoop and lambo doors, the motor had no wiring harness or ecu, and needed a ignition because it was stolen before. so i started off by trading everything gayfter market for stock stuff, now the body is completely stock, got the engine harness and ecu installed it , but i ran into a huge problem the plug on the dist didnt match the plug on the harness, solution: cut a plug off of the spare harness i had and used my electrical skillz (luck) to wire it up to the dist... a week later i got my ignition and hooked it up, the moment of truth ... turn the key and..... nothing.... at all... turned out to be the starter relay so i temporarily bridged the connection till i got the new one and it cranked but still not starting... dist? .... nope out of gas... got gas ... still nothing, so i call the kid and ask how long it was sitting for,,, uhhhh like a year he says... jackass .... so i clean the injectors change the fuel filter and after about 30 seconds the beastly dx motor fires up and is running perfect whooo hooo! and i only had to spend about 300 to get it running perfect and looking normal. now i just need some paint.
