question for the LSVtec road racers out there
What sort of oil cooling methods are you guys using. I assume many are running an LS block with no oil squirters and seeing some high RPMs. I've been thinking of using an air cooled oil cooler but how would one go about doing this. Is it even safe to use an oil cooler sandwich plate in conjunction with the GE sandwich plate?
Or is the GSR/ITR oil cooler sufficient?
Thanks

Yep, search oil cooler for how to put a system together. It'll work fine with the GE plate, and the stock ITR one isn't good enough for track use really.
WTF is up with all the noobs not searching here? Jesus.
Edit: AGGHHHGH!! And this guy isn't even a noob!

Hell, I'm an old guy and I still don't know what a "GE" plate is.
Thawley -- who did fine with his LS/VTEC, a stock ITR oil cooler and a good synthetic oil but is doing even better with his non-VTEC and an 11x11 Tru-Cool...

Yeah and I'm even older... I've never heard of it either... But I think it is something to do with the Golden Eagle sandwich plate. Or is that an Oil filter adaptor?

You can easily build yourself a cooler from Setrag or something like that...it'll be one hell of a lot more efficient than any of the OEM setups.
