I have a 89 toyota corolla and im getting bad gas milage. yeah i know this is a honda forum but can anyone tell me if i should not be driving my car in the city with the overdrive on. and is it possilbe for the bad gas milage. please advise. thx

 

Sorry, but my brother had a std '88...so I couldn't help yah with that one.

 

A lot of people think that overdrive is some thing special, like a super-sonic rocket passing gear, but in reality it's just top gear which actually promotes better mpg.
