yeah i got a b16 in my hatch, only mod is intake, but everytime i goto start the car in the morning, or even after sitting a while, if not overnite then like 3-4 hours.
it will start up, low rpm, like 100, yeah 100, not 1k! then it takes a while to warm it up, sounds like a muscle car, like only two valve engine, and every so often itll smoke for a lil bit, like whitish clear smoke. any ideas? i think it might be about time for my head gasket to be changed....

if i do change my head, should i change/replace anything else while its all apart?

 

Might be a bad valve seat or possibly a cracked piston ring.

 

White is more than likely antifreeze, so your right about the headgasket. As for the 100 idle lol, i dont know if the h/g would cause that if your only seeing a little smoke. Have you cheked your spark wires, firing order, and little things like that?

 

is there a cel? did you try to idle it up?

 

yep, its prolly the spark plug wires or one of your spark plugs is bad..... i had that problem befor when my spark plug wires were on wrong
