Default What size pipe for Tial 44mm wastegate?

I'm building a manifold out of 1.5" sch 10 stainless steel. I will be using two 44mm wastegates. I'm just wondering if I should use 1.5" sch 10 for the wastegate vents off of the collector? Or Should I step up to a larger sized wastegate inlet tubing.

Regards,
Justin

most people use the 1.5" sch 10, but its a tiny bit too small from what i remeber. you can always port it with carbide burr when your all done.

2" sch 10 too big.

Yeah, I modeled up 2" sch10. Way too big. I'm just going to use 1.5" sch 10 and port match it.

Heres the first picture showing how much you have to port match the 1.5" SCH 10...

Here are some renderings using the 1.5" sch 10 on my divided T6 S480 & twin synapse 50mm gate setup

Justin

im sorry, when i saw the title of your topic, i assumed it was regarding the dumptubes. what i measured was the dumptube flanges. sorry, not sure if the base flanges are the same as the dumptube flanges.

but now you know the od for the dumptubes, haha

ya I think he did lol.

make your dumptubes parallel! jeez!1!!11!

looks good.

You might want to reconsider how you have your wastegates placed...it will be a bitch to weld.

Yeah buddy I model all that ****!!!

I'm working on the manifold right now. I really need to model the whole engine bay and engine so that I can just design the whole thing in digital before cutting any metal

Justin
