So. My friend Jake, a Honda tech, bought a 4 door LS for $800 that had hit a deer. Tossed the hood, fixed the radiator support, new radiator and headlights, put the front bumper back on.
BLAMMMMMO
$800 beater.
It's Nebraska. It's winter. We have had snow and ice storms for the last 2 weeks. Can't be rolling around hoodless and letting that **** get all debris-y in the engine bay, and some douche on Craigslist is taking his sweet *** time to ship the hood he bought.
So he got bored at work and made a hood.
We're bringing this thing to ITR Expo 8 this June, probably with luggage tied down to the roof with no rack, a BMX bike inside, painters tape galore, and possibly some sick new mods and discolored lighting.
Before:
Cardboard hood construction.
The hood hinges work.
2 rolls of painters tape
2 foam blocks off a newly delivered Accord
12 zipties
4 coat hangers
lots o' cardboard later......................
the washer squirters are mounted underneath and work, and its got mad JDM cowl for super sweet racing action.
Here's where I come in.
Why not paint it?
Little bit of my handy work... 20 minutes later.

And for reference.... LOL.... this was his old beater.
He has a built LT1 Caprice/Impala whatever, painted, rims, lowered, etc.
At least a partially painted Integra is a step up from an $800 Prelude that went through 10+ spray paint paint jobs, had fucked suspension, tons of problems, etc.
