I did the test that is in the helm's manual. I'm not getting continuity from the term. no.1 on the relay and connector term. A16 from the ecu. The manual says to repair open wire between ecm/pcm(A16) and the relay. Checking for continuity and checking for voltage are almost 2 different checks, right? My ? is can I just run a wire from the A16 to the main relay term. no.1 and just cut the existing wires that are being replaced with the new wire that I am running?? Please help , I need a car.

 

I figured it out. My dumb *** was looking at it upside down.
I'll keep you guys posted if I need anymore help. I'm now at the step where I need to turn the key on while checking for voltage in two terminals coming off the ecm.

if the main relay is acting up, why not replace it?

 

I didn't know it was the main relay. Had to do the tests. My mech thought it was a bad turbo timer. I wasn't just going to buy a relay just to buy one. My pockets aint built like that, especially just after doing a brand new build.
