Default painted my mailbox, check it out

hey guys, since HT doesn't really have an 'art and design' forum, I figured I'd post this in here just to get some opinions. I made this for my Dad, I'm going to give it to him for christmas.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with how everything came out. I could absolutly use some more practice, and constructive critizism is more than welcome! I really need to practice my pinstriping, but its not awful.

Here are some of the tech specs for those of you out there who are into paint stuff. I obviously sprayed a sealer over everything, and then used 2 coats of standard PPG black basecoat for the base, which I then sprayed a coat of Shopline clear over. I scuffed the clear and taped off the flames, and started out with a custom PPG yellow that I mixed, followed by a custom orange and then a red. I untaped everything and followed with another coat of Shopline clear to seal everything up, then scuffed everything down again and did a gold pinstripe. After the pinstriping I went back though and did another 2 coats of shopline clear. The paint was pretty thick at this point and I was concerned about the lid opening and closing properly but thankfully there is enough clearance and it still opens and shuts with no problems. And of course I couldnt leave the mail flag stock, so I sprayed a HOK candy maroon color on the flag. The pictures really dont do the flag justice, it looks pretty neat in the sunlight.

Anyway, on to the pictures, sorry they are crappy pictures:

(that isn't **** in the clearcoat, its just dust on the surface since it has been sitting in my apartment for the past week. I should have tacked it off before I took the pictures, I didn't think about it though)

again, sorry for the bad pictures. The sun was going down so the light is kind of bad. I can't wait to give it to him, I think hes really going to like it. What do you guys think?

Its illegal, federal law. We'll see if my dad gets any **** for having it out, but I kind of doubt he will. One of my dad's neighbors has a half keg that he made into a mailbox, so I'm pretty sure our mailman doesn't give a ****. The law really just depends on who your mailman is and if they feel like reporting you.

I see all kinds of different mailboxes in FL. You can buy some at Bass Pro Shops that look like fish. I don't think it's a law down here. Im also going to paint my mailbox but have been to lazy to do so.
