Default Acura factory alarms??

So just picked up a 1996 integra gs-r. The previous owner opted for the factory security system to be installed. I was curious on how well this system works, and is it a system that is fairly easy to bypass. Any information would be much appreciated.

Not very hard to bypass IMO... Friend thought his Factory Alarm was good and well... It was stolen and stripped... Any real thief will be able to get around these...

You can achieve much better results with a well-installed aftermarket alarm.

There's really no improving a factory alarm. I mean, anything's possible, but you've still got a factory alarm, which is easily defeated. Back to square one.

Also, LoJack is great, if you happen to live in one of their limited coverage areas. It's not available everywhere, and because of that, you're better off with a true GPS based system.
