my setup. 94 cx hatch with lx engine. im wondering if i can bolt the cluster from the lx (with tach) into where my cluster is (no tach). will the tach work?
Yup, plugs right in. Just be careful getting that bastard bezel off. If you've never done it before, be careful. There's a hidden screw. It's either by the clock or the hazard button, I forget which one. You take one of those out and can see it.

2 screws in the bezel above the cluster, one behind the hazzard switch.
It doesn't really matter if you break ALL of the tabs off the bezel - it'll still seat back in fine. Just remember to unplug the clock, the hazzard switch pops right out to gain access to the screw.
Then there's 4 screws in a square formation that hold the cluster in - then 3 (I think 3) plugs in the back.
The cluster's in '92-'95 civics are plug and play. You can just plug in the LX/EX/Si cluster and it'll work fine - the wiring already exists for the tachometer.

Stay away from JDM tachs because they're listed in km/h not mph.</TD></TR></TABLE>
You mean a whole JDM cluster? Because a tach is in rpm which is the same in SI or standard units.
