Yes the tach will work as long as the cluster is from a 92-95.

Yup, plugs right in. Just be careful getting that bastard bezel off. If you've never done it before, be careful. There's a hidden screw. It's either by the clock or the hazard button, I forget which one. You take one of those out and can see it.

2 screws in the bezel above the cluster, one behind the hazzard switch.

It doesn't really matter if you break ALL of the tabs off the bezel - it'll still seat back in fine. Just remember to unplug the clock, the hazzard switch pops right out to gain access to the screw.

Then there's 4 screws in a square formation that hold the cluster in - then 3 (I think 3) plugs in the back.

The cluster's in '92-'95 civics are plug and play. You can just plug in the LX/EX/Si cluster and it'll work fine - the wiring already exists for the tachometer.

VX's also have a tach.

Stay away from JDM tachs because they're listed in km/h not mph.

You mean a whole JDM cluster? Because a tach is in rpm which is the same in SI or standard units.
