These motors have just lived in the shadows. The base cars are hated both for their weak motor, funny pistons, weak vtec, and 5 speed tranny. These motors certainly still have great potential, so my question is, has anyone pushed these motors (i.e. stock block). I'd prefer to see some examples that maintained the stock head as well.

The K's are still out of alot of peoples price range, but the base model cars are coming down in price, and this is a good opening for getting into these cars. Alot of people rolled these cybernation kits and what not, but I'm looking for guys running Kpro management and a custom setup with a turbo worth talking about.

a guy local to here had one in the mid 300 whp range (on a dynapak) but then blew it up trying to change/adjust settings on the 2 step without knowing how to do it properly (20psi on 2 step+crazy timing=put rod thru block).I dont know the details but his car was a 2002 si and ran a high 12 in the quarter.

subscribed. I thought the 5 speed tranny was actually better than the 6 speed as far as strength.
