Default D16y8 head mods

Hi i just got a y8 head and intake manifold and i wanted to do some mods before i install them while there off the car. I was thinking of gettin them ported because i have a neigbour with a crazy 8 second charger and hes really good at engine work like that. Is there any other mods i should consider in the head or maybe a throttle body or somthing? Thanks alot for your help.

so u think a port and polish is good enough with the stock head i shouldnt change anything else in the head components or port the intake manifold as well?

i mean if your going for serious power, i would go with valves, springs, retainers and a mild cam definitly, bc one thing you dont want is floating valves, and you are gonna want the engine to breath

yea you definitly want to beef it up in all areas but the manifold should be fine, they flow well for stock, unless you want an edelbrock or something then your talkin gettin into this project deep

If you're building the bottom end (forged rods/pistons), then just up the boost! But having supporting mods like a P&P head, cam, etc etc will just help you reach those goals more easily. In my opinion, spend the money in the bottom end first...

Your stock head, intake manifold, and throttle body can support more than the block.
