Driving home recently, and my motor started to sputter, then regained power, then sputtered and eventually died.

Here's what i have: OBD1 JDM B18c... in a 92 vx hatch. Walbro 255 f pump, b20 injectors.. tuned on crome.

1. Anyone who has that fuel pump knows its audible.. and that day, when i'd prime it to start, it sounded like it was dying out toward the end of the prime. if that makes sense.

2. I've had this happen before and it was the ignition coil.

So... after towing it home, i regrounded the fuel pump, and checked the power wire .. etc. voltmeter says 11.5-11.7 volts. ?

The dizzy is new but i went ahead and put an ignition coil that i had lying around in.

..... but i pulled my spark plug wire out and it was soaked in oil.

cleaned it, changed my spark plugs, new tube seals...

Car still wont start.

.....anyone?

did you actually check for fuel and spark? when was the last time you changed your fuel filter too?
