Default oil in spark plug hole !

hey just like the title says oil in spark plug hole .

my car just stopped running ... do you think it would have anything to do with the oil in the hole .

No CELs ,

ok thats the problem. clean all that **** out and dry it good. it'll work then. what is happening is that the spark is flashing over the plug and to the valve cover, not going into the cylinder

There is a gasket that surrounds each spark plug cylinder most likely if it is just the one cylinder just get a new gasket. It happens when you take the valve cover off. Most of the time there just old and brittle and fall apart but you never notice cuz its not what your looking for at the time.

Yup, seen that before. Spark plug tube gasket(s) and most likely leaking. Cheap fix.

theyre called the spark plug tube seals and they are generally not sold with just the valve cover gasket they have to be ordered separately

Valve cover gasket, you mean.

Every VC gasket set I've bought came with them.

Hahaha... I was going to say something, but figured I would just let it play out because that is most likely what you meant.

same thing is happening to me. took my cover off to refinish it and put it back on and found that one of the seals around the top of my plug is got a hole in it. just go to dealership and get the new gasget ring and take your cover off and replace it. find the best way to get the oil out. dont pull the plug the oil will go in. youll really hav trouble starting then.good luck

^ no just take the spark plug out. then run a towel/rag down the tube to get the oil out.

4 separate seals. Clean the excess oil out of the tube. Replace with new spark plug. The new seals go into the valve cover with the spring headed into the vc. So after the install you won't see them. The seals will take a bit of work to remove; I just used a flat-head screwdriver. Be careful not to rough up the sealing surface.
