does the vtec open up hard on the f22b1 head? just wondering cause im doin my cb7 project and my boy sold me a complete f22b1 head for dirt cheap so i eas wondering if i change my stock f22a head with the f22b1 head would the power increase a lil or drop cause of weak vtec let me know what u guys think please thankx.

 

VTEC on the F heads is not like VTEC on the B heads. It's not something you can really feel.

You will get a slight increase in power but nothing major. The F22Ax head is a better flowing head but the F22B1 has VTEC. Not much of a difference, thats why you'll get a lot of people telling you it's not worth it and to either do a H swap or turbo the F22Ax.
