Oil Leak... What could it be?
I have an oil leak comeing from the right side (distrubuter side) of my B18c1. I am looking for possible causes. It appears to be coming form in front of the distributer around the VTEC silonoild and the black plug in the side of the valve cover... anyone have any ideas on possible gaskets or other problems that may be causing the leak?

There is multiple things it could be. You will have to clean your engine, and see where the leak starts.
Could be something as little as the valve cover, or it could be something as serious as the main seal behind the flywheel.

while you have the top end partially apart it probably wouldnt hurt to just replace all the seals around the cams/solenoid/valve cover area, once one starts the others are likely to follow

Honda re-designed those cam plug seals about mid-way through the 3rd gen Integra's life. The old design was rubber, which I had on my 94. I replaced it back in January 2003 with the OEM redesigned version, which is plastic with o-rings on it. Now probably 130,000 miles later it still works just fine.
Metal ones are for showy bling-blang, which is cool if that's what you like. The OEM redesigned version is only like 5 bucks and has that OEM quality and understated-ness, which is what I prefer.

could be ditributor o-ring....that's what is leaking from my teg right now, but very light leakage.....if you take off your valve cover DO NOT FORGET TO REPLACE THOSE GASKETS.....me and many other people i know have had multiple problems w/ vlave cover gaskets slowly leaking
I guess I will start by replacing the VTEC Solonoid Gasket, Cam Seal, and ValveCover Gasket and see if that fixes it
Can I get the redesigned OEM cam seal from a Honda Parts Dept? or do I have to order it?
If it doesn't stop I'll try the distributer o-ring, but this is some pretty heavy leakage. It's leaking about a qt in a week.

Ok, I have the same problem. I replaced the VTEC solenoid gasket, Cam plug, and the Distributor O-ring but still leaks!! I'm really starting to think its the head gasket, but it still looks like it leaks from the VTEC solenoid area.
part 8 and 12, the vtec seal comes with a new screen and the cam plug is known to leak. I just bought both after having the exact same problem. Installed both in roughly 10 minutes. Pull the 3 bolts that hold the vtec, pull the seal, pop in the new one, use a flat blade screwdriver and pop out the cam seal, pop in the new one after wiping everything off and you're good to go. Anyone know the ft/lb you are supose to use on the vtec? i just went "fairly tight" with a 12" 3/8" ratchet. Also, MR Db8, you might have a little spec of crud in one of the seals. It doesn't take much to cause a leak. Pressure wash your engine, then drive it for 30-50 miles so you can see exactly where the oil is coming from and post a pic & thread. I'm sure we can figure it out.
