can I go stock head
As far as fuel supply, you'll need something bigger than 550cc injectors. I'd suggest 750's with a walbro 255lph pump.
The valvetrain is only needed if you get different cams & intake mani, run a good exhaust manifold, and use a 3" dp/exhaust.
In other words, the stock head will make power, but you'd only need to change it if you decided to move the powerband up farther like if you plan on doing 680whp...

Problems with stock valvetrain is that when you boost "high psi numbers", the springs will have trouble closing your valves fast enough(at high rpm)
if the thin stock valve hit the piston(not enough to break) but usally enough to be slightly bent Then You will break the valve after a couple of miles becouse of metalfatigue(valve is bending when lifted and closing)
Supertech valves, springs, retainers costs 525USD.
A valvedrop will cost you a new engine(head and pistons will be destroyed, and if you are really lucky all your internal parts may be damaged.
most likely the turbine side of your turbo will be damaged becouse your head are spitting valvestems.
In my opinion change valvetrain, but again stock will work. just dont get back here and whine after a valvedrop lol

100% stock head from throttle body to valves. i had a valve job done a while back as well as replaced my valve seals. Car makes just short of 400whp and revved to 8,2XX rpms daily.

You can do it but you have to take a risk on stock retainers lol. It will hold for couple months or maybe more if you get lucky, but it will crack in half and drop the vavle. I suggest do the super tech retainers and springs
good luck!

I have made 800+WHP with a stock GSR head (without port & polish) with Valves, springs and retainers. I would recommend you change at least the Valve springs. You can leave the valves and retainers stock.
