maybe, maybe not....the high price of the swap doesn't really come from the motor itslef..it's all the other misc. parts you need that add up to thousands of dollars more for a K swap

im close to him, but that is about right price wise. the swap has come down recently in price and it is not uncommon to see swaps go for under 7 grand, or 5 grand with the type-r stuff. cheaper if you find killer deals and trade someone your b swap.

like if you have a b18c5 in your car with hasport mounts and Lsd. low milage. you can probably get away with a k swap for only minimal cost

sell that type-r for 5-6 grand you only have to sepnd another 2 grand

even cheaper for me becuase i have basic fab and welding skills to lower the price

Motor only is pretty cheap its all the other **** you have to buy to get it in your car thats expensive.

infact swapping a k into a car now.is REALLY cheap. search in socal for sale im selling hybrid mounts (first generation) a legit k24a1 shortblock with rsx goodies, arp headstuds . bill of sale ETC

for $1100 picked up..........................and im having a hard time selling it. i got someone that offered my 600 (what they usally go for but i would lose too much money), not to mention the ******! free mount kit!!!!!
