removing ac
hi there , i realized i dont really need the AC and im just thinking does anyone have any clue on how to remove it from a 96 ls .. pic directions would help alot thank you.
its really simple all you need to do is follow the AC lines around the bay. then theres a AC condensor in front of your radiator that looks like a mini radiator that you can take out. then theres the compressor on the accessory belt but if you take that off you need a smaller belt. then take out the hard lines. if you really want it all gone you can take out the blower in the car under the dash. REMEMBER TO LET THE PRESSURE OF OUT OF THE LINES FIRST THROUGH ONE OF THE VALVES!!!!

dude i used to live in cali and it was some what hot in summer but never so hot to kill for ac, i live in nc now and yes here i need ac cuz its hot and humid, i never had ac in cali just take out all ac componets as listed above, lol i still dont have ac
just took the ac off my teg a couple hours ago its really easy it took like 15 minutes,i cut my ac belt off because my belt was shot and all the ac stuff was getting trashed anyway...just unbolt the blts on the ac compressor and take all the lines off,and remove the condenser and fan your finished...that ac compressor is heavy too it probably weighs about 20 lbs,i also took off all the ps stuff last night too
