It's rare, expensive(usually), nice, and oh yea search, there has been a few posts just in recent times about those cars and motors. Forgot to mention I'd love to have one, kind of been thinking lately of maybe trying to find one to trade for my DB8.

For $1000, I'd buy it even if the body was completely ruined and the only good part was the motor/tranny.

90-91 RS/LS/GS
92-93 RS/LS/GS/GS-R

The GS-R has the B17 motor(basically a B16) with 160hp and of course VTEC, one of the best B-series trannies there is(its a cable tranny). Etc...
The car itself only came in 3 colors, Green, White, and Black or Red(never remember between black and red). Not sure if it was optional but it has leather(GS-R's only came in black interior). Has a spoiler with LED 3rd brake light(no third brake light in the hatch glass like all the other sub-models). Etc...

No matter what?

Engine threw a rod, tranny spun a bearing, no wheels or brake system, no interior, exterior is competely rusted out, no windows, steering column is gone.....but it is sooo worth $1,000. Get that ****!!!!

the car only needs nothing for safety and e test but it has an idling problem and some air in the coolent it is basically in limp mode because some powersteering fliud driped on a couple senser but that is it.

well first off.. since you live in ontario, the body is going to be rusted along with every other part on the car.

how many km's are on the car?

and yes it is rare, but being that I owned one for a 3 years, it is nothing special and neither is that b17. I swapped a b18c1 in mine and wow, now that is something special lol.

but for $1000 id still buy it if the body was ok.

WOW so much wrong info!

US had Aztec green, Frost white and Milano Red(black available in other trims)
Canada had Frost white, milano red and Granada black(Aztec available in LS)
GSR DID NOT COME WITH LEATHER
SPOILER WAS AN OPTION
NOT the same as a b16. Different crank, rods and pistons. PR3 head is same as B16. ECU was OBD1 P61.

the GS-R Spoiler came standard. And yes it has the 3rd brake light.

As for everything else what he said was correct.

I would pick it up asap, because it probably wont last long.

wow lol
the only problem with those motors is the high milage
i only paid $2,000 for my 92 gsr. completly stock, was owned by a female, even came with the dearler manuel. clean interior, no rip tear, stains, or cracks, nicer then most new cars. only invested like 50 for jdm fenders w/side maerkers, honda valve cover gasket 15, 60 pair of brembo front rotors and nissin pads.
and i could easily sell it for like 3,000 dollars and make my money back thats the good thing about these cars, another 100-150 for a nice paint job and im sure i can sell it for 3000-3,800 dollars
i posted ads for this car for trades 9240sx) and like 2 - 3 240sx owners where intrested, one had a sr20det swap
so yeah for some reason resale is good for this modle, personaly i think its over rated but hey if you can take advantage of it go gor it
