Default performance chip for 93 d16z6?

Hello...I gotta dumb question.How do these speed chips work and do you really gain much from these and would it be possible to chip the d16z6 and how hard would it be?Whats a reputable company to buy these from?

If its a true "chip", your ecu (computer) will have to be chipped to accept it, but still yet, you probably wont see anything from it if your stock. If its ebay and it has wires coming from it and its called a chip, just stay away ,lol

this question has been asked a few times and the answer is no. especially on a d series stock engine set up. u will need some series internal engine upgrade.

It's just a chip with a slightly richer basemap.

So your car runs more fuel - SLIGHTlY more power (maybe 2-4 at the wheels), your fuel efficiency goes down a lot due to always running rich, it's a hack job bullshit tune.

They don't tell you that the chip has to plug into a socket which has to be soldered to the board on the ECU - which requires you to open up the ECU, and solder in the socket.

Advice:
Stay away from it.
