Can somebody tell me the amount of oil I need to change the oil in my 96 accord lx? I changed it and used 3.5l, it looks fine on the dipstick, but I wasn't sure if I should have it closer to 4.0l. As always, I use a Honda filter.

I searched and didn't find anything. I don't have the owners manual.

 

LX takes 4.2 quarts, just shy of 4 litres (3.97)

 

I meant to say quarts, not liters. This what happens when your job intefers with H-T! 4.2 quarts it is. I will add a bit more when I get home tonight. I put in 3.5 quarts.

if its in the middle of the dipstick now i wouldn't add any.. one quart brings it from the bottom line to the top..

 

F22B2 is 4 qts or 3.75L
F22B1 is 4.5 qts or 4.25L

 

I made it an even 4 qts. and it seems right on. Thanks for the help guys.

 

3.5 will look fine initially after the change since the oil filter isn't full yet.
