paint job prices
what kinda paint job you looking for? show? one that looks good at 50mph? factory? just depends really. do you want the door handles taken out, headlight, taillights taken out, or have all that stuff taped up? macco can do it for $200-300, but i wouldnt go that route
not saying it to sound like a dick, even though it will, i wouldnt touch it for less than 1500. its hard to get something flawlesswhen you are wanting it for under 2k. go look on new cars, bumpers will not match, trash in paint. i painted a brand new range rover for a guy about a year ago and was amazed at the trash in the factory paint.

something that is gonna look flawless? if that's not a show job then what is it?
so you want something 18 inches off the ground, that support a human's body weight comfortably for a prolong period of time but that is not a chair?
1 k you are pushing it, nason/omni stuff with min. bodywork will runs you about 5-6 hundred just material alone. not to mention the added cost for color change(it doesnt matter if it's oem honda or lambo oem color, color change is color change)

Good point, that does sound like an oxymoron. If anyone wants some average numbers with some accuracy, you would have to be way more specific. Body condition, parts replacement, remove and install of parts, color, material quality, post paint cut/buff, warranty, ect would all be factors in pricing.
I resprayed my coupe and it was $3278, after working the bodyshop to bring all the hourly down to $40/hr... Plus I had all my glass pulled ($200), new f/r bumpers, sideskirts, front/quarter windows, trim, etc... ~$5000 in the end.
