The EX is a Y8 meaning it has vtec where as the hx isnt and i believe has a Y7, although, the hx has the stock wheels that i would definitely rock in the winter if i had a set

Before anyone learns anything wrong here, the HX has a D16Y5 (SOHC VTEC-E). The D16Y7 (SOHC non-VTEC) comes in the CX hatch, DX coupe, DX, hatch, DX sedan, DX-v/SE/VP sedan and LX sedan.
Oh, and the chart doesn't just show coupes. It shows all USDM '96-'00 Civic models. Coupes first, then hatches and then sedans.
