Anyone tried to do this themselves? I tried on my driver door panel with a roll of black vinyl from a cloth store, using 3m spray adhesive, but it didn't turn out the way Id like. The glue stuck very well, but the vinyl doesn't conform to curves the way the original stuff did. Am I missing something here? Would this be easier if I used a heat gun to soften the vinyl as I went?

Anyone know of a write up anywhere or done this themselves?
