low rpm problems

low rpm problems
I have a 01 MDX and today I started it up and the rpms keep bouncing between 500 and 2500, I drove it to the store and then when I got home the CEL finally came on. I havent had a diag. run yet since it is 730 at night here i am wondering if anyone has had this problem or have any ideas what it might be

So it stopped raining and i ran the car up to advance auto parts, it the code is P0505 "idle conrol system malfunction" if anyone has any ideas or if i can drive the mdx like this or well it mess the car up even more
