Default D-Series Build Question

Whats the max WHP that can be attained with a d16 vtec with a thicker HG and studs? I know someone on here is running a little over 300 with the greddy hg, but I am not sure if that is realistic for everyone.
My next question is, what size thickness is recommmended for this motor with boost?

people have made ~400whp, but the general consensus is that if you want it to be a reliable DD, 220-240whp seems to be the cutoff. If you want more, an Eagle/Vitara build is rather inexpensive

Thanks
how much does it typically cost for an eagle/vitara build and how much whp can that setup hold?
is this considered the best deal?

We are trying to get over 300whp, and its not a DD, just a side project.
Also, do anyone have any suggestion on the HG?
Im pretty sure if i do the eagle/vitara build, I would be better of with the stock HG and Arp bolts, but what is a good HG for a stock engine internally to lower compression?
Lastly, should I go with a t3/t4 or a GT28/30 for a over 300whp build?

I think Cometic makes thicker HG's that will lower comp. I would just stick with the OEM Z6 gasket though. You will definitely have to get the motor tuned regardless of what you do, and the tuner can compensate.

This is actually for my friend. He is looking to spend about $1-2K. The car came with a t25 turbo, but the manifold is cracked, so he wants to upgrade to a T3 manifold. we trying to get into thw 3-400whp range. whats the best setup?
also, should he go with 750cc-or 1000cc injectors for that range?
last, are RC injectors the only injectors that will fit?

First off, 300-400 is a HUGE range.

Secondly, "what is the best setup" is a very open ended question. Obviously, he is going to have to buy used parts, and peice together a kit to get it for 2k. Do your research, and figure out what parts best serve what you want to accomplish.

thanks. I am doing reasearch, but its hard to search for "D series" "SOHC turbo", etc.
Basically anything over 300whp is the goal.
If I was to find a gt28 for a good deal, should I look for one with internal or external wastegate? whats better?
I think we will probably go with the t3/t4, if we cant find one in good condition for under $500..

http://www.turbod16.com

A simple t3/t4, eagle/vitara setup will get you 300.
