hey all...i have a problem...i cant decide between a b16a and a zc moter..first off i can get a b16 set up for my car for 2500 http://www.evanshondaspecialist.com/engineprices.html but i cant find any ZC motors...how much is the price difference. For the ZC motor what do u need besides the motor? and what is the disadvantages/ advantages of both...thanks for the help

Forgot to mention:

ZC's will usually cost around $500 +/- 100. Try nippon-motors.com, ask for Felipe.

ZC Pro's:
Simple swap (use your stock engine mounts, tranny, axles, ecu and wiring...if you have an Si Civic)
Nice power increase (130hp) and it's dual cam, so you can tune it very nicely vs sohc
Great little motor to turbo (up to 10, maybe 12psi on stock internals and fuel pump)

ZC Cons:
Not CA smog legal (your profile doesn't mention your locale)
Not as many aftermarket parts compared to the B-series (ie B16) engines
Not as powerful as B16

im in New york. dont have a si...have a dx would i just need to pick up a si wireing harness or what? also where could i buy stuff for a zc...and how much stuff is avalable...also...where is the ZC motor from...i know the b16 is from the japanese civic but where is the zc from

 

zc motor is also from japan, nice engine, good hp! just installed one in my dx. i can get you the hook-up on on for pretty cheap. im also from pa if your lookin for someone to install let me know. email is darnkid01@hotmail.com.
