It's a replica. It may fit , it may not. That's how those things work. The good news is, most of the time you can fab it up to fit your car, if it's not too bad.

I have the replica mugen lip on my car, good fitment as long as you put it on the right way.

Eran's got a good pic of the fitment on his ek hatch..

These lips usually appear to have bad fitment because most people don't know how to install them properly.

When installing, be sure to center the lip on the bumper first. While holding the center of the lip to the center of the bumper, grab each end of the lip and connect one at a time...You need to hold the lip end down, and then pull up to slide around the bumper. It is much easier with a friend.

I have a Type-R lip on my '00 hatch, and I thought it wasn't going to fit at first...but turns out that it is just tight (which makes it easier when you are mounting it because it holds itself up after you wrap each side around)

Good luck

It looks funny on the 96-98 bumper, either get the Type R or SiR lip.

I personally think both those cars look ridiculously cheap. They remind me of how my car used to look when I didn't know any better ... except they kept going with it.

I dunno, it's sad to see a car covered in fake parts being portrayed as some sort of jdm show-stoppin' car.

what do you mean? ^^

@Eran: why does it look cheap (it's the same car but different stage of its life)? I don't see what the problem with buying replica parts like a lip that makes absolutely no HUGE difference... i understand for performance enhancing parts replicas are NOT the way to go but asthetic appearance when done right? i don't see why not.. for a young person like me i'd rather have a nice car and be able to put more stuff on it at a cheaper price than buy all authentic parts and take years before i get everything i would like. But then again thats just me. i'm not trying to battle you lol i just want to know what difference in your mind that it makes

I see the difference because I was once at the exact same point you are. I was fine with buying Rotas, having lips from JDMSh!t, putting angled stickers on the windows and shocker stickers above the exhaust. I wanted to find the cheapest means to an end. Then one day, I looked out the window, and it kinda clicked. This isn't what I had in mind when I got into this. I'm trying to be on a bandwagon .... and a shitty one at that.

You didn't you get your car and say "I want this to look second rate." After that, I started getting rid of my cheap parts and replacing them with things that were more aesthetically pleasing, fit better, and were more functional.

My 'mod list' of parts on my car has more parts that say 'Honda' in front of them than anything else combined.

And thats what makes his car and his girlfriends (NOFX) cars the nicest IMO. Should feature both cars in a magazine for sure.

i can agreee with you an that eran, i mean i would LOVE to have everything on my ej6 to say HONDA. but when you a college student work at target for minimum, and trying to start up a career, i think i would stick to second rate for a while THEN just like you go all HONDA out. I dont think im tryin to get on the Band-Wagon, i just want my car to look sweet with my low budget.

Eran you got any recent pic of your car?

I mean, I am not here to judge anyone's car or anyone's vision. If it makes you happy, that should be priority number one. There's nothing wrong, per se with fake parts. I think I could put my thoughts better into a picture:

This is what I see when I look at this car.

I don't want people people to see mine and immediately start seeing every fake part I have.

The only knockoff parts I have right now are:

1) My 'Spoon' mirrors because I wanted them, but the real ones are all for RHD, so that's out of the question functionality-wise

2) My Mr. ALEX c-pillar bar. It's still a quality piece from a reputable company, but regardless, it's a knockoff of the Cusco C-Pillar brace.

ok eran i see where your coming from and thats cool like LwdJdmR said with the low budget... i mean i am 17 working fro 8$/h 20 hours a week with my full schedule at school so money isn't pouring in lol but i also think when i get older and my career falls into place i will change all the secoind rate parts for authentics and i wouldn't say im lookin to jump on a band wagon... it's just what i like and thats aways what i've invisioned for my car
