Default DOES ANYONE KNOW THE ANSWER.

hey whats up, ive been askin the same question for 6 days. can i use a d16z6 head and dizzy on a obd2 civic to replace a Y8 head and dizzy. i bent a valve and have a Z6 with really low miles. i know i just have to rein the dizzy plug but can i use this or will it run funny. please help

it will run fine as long as u repin it right, and use the proper plug off the Y8 timing will be off a half a tooth??? if i'm not mistakin

will it be off by a half tooth retarted or advanced and can i make up for this with a adjustable cam gear. anywhere i can find the right place for the wires to go

it will be advanced 1/2 a tooth and yes a cam gear will make up for it, and the wires on just about all honda's is bottom left is cylinder number 1, then 3,4,2 and it goes in a clockwise direction

most of your wires will match up, you might have one light blue wire off of the obd 2 dizzy left over depending on year, but most of it should match, i have a D16Y8 in my DD with a repinned Y8 dizzy i had no issues

hey thanks alot for all your help. i got it running but it is thowing a code all of a sudden for crank position sensor. and on 96-00 models its inside the timing cover , but on the z6 its inside the dizzy. so i dont know if i have 2 crank sensors running my car or what

if you go to ff-squad.com it shows you how to bypass the crank sensor on 96-98 cars and 99-00 where basically it will see dizzy signal and adapts
