Need some H2B HELP !!! Won't go into gear
OK so we got the car fired up - motor runs fine, But wont go into gear at all.
You can go through the gears fine when the car is off.
You can put the car in 1st when the car is off, push the clutch in and start the car. It fires up and sits still like it should . You can release the clutch and the car pulls away like normal. But it will not come out of gear until you turn the car back off.
So we did all the normal stuff- bled the clutch again, checked the pedal, cutch cylinder, checked for any leaks, etc.
When i got the trans i was told it was just rebuilt however one option could be that one of the forks inside the transmission is bent there for not allowing it to go into gear while the car is on.
Someone close to me seems to think it has something to do with the clutch not disengaging properly. but what would cause that ? the EVO flywheel being to large?
Could it be that the slave cylinder is not pushing the fork in enough in order to allow it to go in and out of gear ?
Im at a loss here and dont want to have to open the trans up if I dont have to .
Any input would be appreciated.
are you sure everything for the trans is mounted and torque properly? maybe remove the trans, clutch, and flywheel. re-attach and see if you have the same problem. sounds like this would be easier than opening the case.
Someone told me in the discussion thread to just take it out and drive it around and get on it . I did that and all of a sudden it started going in and out of all the gears perfectly. wierd !!!!!
