Default Christmas Suspension

I want to get some suspension for my brothers GSR.

Lookin to not spend more then a grand.

Its a DD, on stock rims.

Any Suggestions?

I was looking at the Tein Basic + Dampener kit, but I keep getting mixed reviews.

If i had the money i'd go with Ground Controls w/ koni's

For my DA i'm currently running on sprint springs, i got skunk2 sleeved coilovers for free so im going to put those on possibly tomorrow if it doesn't rain

Picture of how both rides are sitting now.

I have tanabe pro type 2 on my TSX. it rides just like stock but better ;]

I have omni powers... They ride great. However I will probably buy some D2 coilovers bc they have the adjustable dampening system.

I'd go with the Ground Control and Koni Sport (Yellow) combo.

Try F2 (Function)

Had them on my DD (Integra, before I sold it).

The quality and easy adjustability of the setup was great.

or maybe you dont know what your talking about....

ive had koni yellows/ground controls, neuspeed race springs, eibach springs and many other setups

by far the best was the koni/gc, but i love my eibach springs i have on my car now, it isnt the lowest, but it handles nicely and rides slightly stiffer than stock

this spring i plan on getting koni yellows to go with my eibach springs and have what i think should be a very good daily driven setup

I have the omni street version full coilovers and it rides pretty good. I think it's the best bang for the buck ($650) but everyone is going to have their own opinion like mine on what they personally think is good. So ultimately the choice and decision is going to be your own.

The Omni's are underdampened. If the shocks have to do a lot of work, then you're going for a ride. They give you that unsettled feeling like you've just hit mid-descent on a rollcoaster hill even when you've only dropped into a small dip mid-turn. Then the chasis comes back up and that's when the steering gets light causing your ******* to clench tighter because you have no idea where your car is telling you it wants to go except that you can see yourself understeering into the adjacent lane.

They're okay for putting around in, but I wouldn't use them on anything I'd want to feel safe in.....which makes me wonder why we're still using them on the race car. But, I guess if we can run an 11.1 ET on them, then they must be good, right?

Tein Type RE's I have are good, but they don't like the cold weather and they'll blow the seals eventually if you continuously drive them in sub-40 deg F weather.

The Tein SS's were okay too, but they also blow the seals after 3 or so years.
